Adobe Express is good value. As of October 2026 it has a free plan, Premium at US$9.99 a month with no annual commitment, and Firefly Pro at US$19.99 with 4,000 generative credits and Photoshop on web and mobile. It is hard to beat on price per feature.
People look elsewhere for three reasons. Some find it heavier than they need and want a simpler editor with more ready-made templates. Some want the AI to produce content, not help them design it. And some realize the design was never the hard part: running the ads, building the page and keeping posts going is. Adobe's pricing table does list "Publish paid ads directly" on every plan, but the page says nothing about which networks, budgets or optimization, so it is not a campaign tool you can plan around.
You like designing, just not Adobe. Canva has the largest template library, 5 Brand Kits on Pro, social scheduling and AI ad creation. VistaCreate is the budget option: its Pro plan covers up to ten seats for $10 a month billed yearly, with social scheduling and an AI writer, and it connects to VistaPrint for print.
You want the content generated. Predis.ai writes and designs social posts and ad visuals from a prompt and schedules them. AdCreative.ai focuses on ad sizes and puts a conversion score on each creative. Both still leave the campaign itself to you.
You want the ads run as well. Pencil makes ads and launches them on seven networks at a low price, with tight generation caps. Vibiz starts from your website, makes statics, carousels, UGC-style video and product photos, builds the landing page with checkout, then launches and manages the Meta or Google campaign: pausing losers, moving budget to winners and proposing the next batch. It also posts organically to eleven networks; TikTok, LinkedIn and X are organic only.
Pick one real promotion. Make it in your current Adobe Express setup and note the time, including resizing, writing captions and getting it in front of people. Then give the same brief to one generator and one done-for-you tool. Compare the time to something live, not just to a nice file.
On cost, editors win easily. Vibiz Pro is $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly, with no free plan or trial, and launched ads carry a service fee on ad budget, shown before approval. It makes sense when it replaces your design hours and your campaign setup, not just your editor. The full head-to-head is in Vibiz vs Adobe Express; for social specifically, see social posts.
