OpusClip does one thing very well. Give it an hour of talking and it hands back short clips ranked by a Virality Score, captioned, reframed and ready to auto-post to Shorts, TikTok and Reels. For a podcast with a weekly episode it is close to essential, and as of October 2026 Pro costs $14.50 a month billed annually.
It runs out of road in predictable places. If you stop recording long videos, it has nothing to work with. If you want to fix the episode itself (bad audio, a wrong take, a slide that needs replacing) you need an editor. And if the clips are meant to sell something, organic posting is only half the job; someone still has to build the ad campaign and the page behind it.
The free plan gives 60 credits a month with a watermark, and clips can't be exported after three days. Starter is $15 a month, monthly billing only, for 150 credits. Pro is $174 a year, with 300 credits that roll over for two months, two seats and a scheduler. Business is custom. For a direct comparison with Vibiz, see Vibiz vs OpusClip.
You need the edit, not just the clips. Descript edits the whole recording through its transcript and has its own clip tool; VEED does the same in a timeline with better subtitling and translation. Captions covers both on a phone.
You no longer have long videos. Pictory builds narrated videos from blog posts, scripts, slides or a URL, using Getty and Storyblocks footage. invideo goes further and generates original scenes with models like Seedance, which you then shape on a timeline.
You want the clips to become sales. Vibiz approaches it from the other end. It does not clip; it generates UGC-style videos and static ads from your website with the real product in frame, launches them on Meta or Google, and sends the traffic to a landing page with checkout. The fee on ad budget is shown before launch, for example $6 a day on a $30 daily budget. Pro is $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly. See the formats on the AI ad generator.
Take your last long video and your best-selling product. Run the video through Descript or VEED on a free plan and compare the clips with OpusClip's. Separately, paste your URL into Vibiz, which shows your brand kit and first creatives before you pay, and judge whether those ads would beat a clip from your show as a paid placement. Many creator-led businesses end up keeping OpusClip for organic reach and adding a tool for the paid side.
