Creatopy did not shut down; it renamed itself. As of October 2026 creatopy.com redirects to thebrief.ai, which sells Pro at $39 a month, Ultra at $99 and Team at $59 per seat, each cheaper on annual billing and each with a 7-day trial that needs no card. The plans include the full Ad Studio, AI generation without credits and every export format from JPG to HTML5 and AMP.
The rebrand is a good moment to ask whether you need what it has become. The Brief is aimed at designers and creative teams producing, resizing, translating and serving ad sets at scale. If that describes you, it is a strong tool. People who look elsewhere usually want one of three things: a cheaper or free editor, banner automation driven by templates and an API, or AI that produces the ad and launches it without anyone touching layers.
A general editor, cheaply. Canva has a free plan, Pro at US$144 a year for one person and millions of templates. It is the easy choice for social and static ads, though it is not built around HTML5 banner sets or ad serving.
Banner automation. Abyssale is the nearest match to The Brief's production side: templates that generate many variations, API and MCP access from Pro at $36 per seat billed annually, and HTML5 export on Suite. It is priced per seat, with a 14-day trial and no card.
AI generation, scored or cheap. AdCreative.ai generates statics in batches and scores them before launch, from $20 a month billed yearly for 20 credits. Pencil is the budget option at $14 a month for 50 generations, and its pricing page says it launches and tracks ads on seven platforms. Predis.ai suits social-first brands, mixing posts, videos and ad creatives with a calendar.
The whole loop without a designer. Vibiz takes a URL or a product photo and produces the creatives, then launches and manages the Meta or Google campaign and builds the landing page with checkout. It also posts organically to 11 networks. It does not make HTML5 banners and offers less hands-on control than an editor. Pro is $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly, with no free plan.
Use the same brief in every tool: one product, one offer, three sizes. Time how long it takes to get an ad you would actually run, then note what still has to happen afterwards. With The Brief, Canva or Abyssale you leave with files; with Pencil or Vibiz you can leave with a live campaign. If your ads need to run on display networks as HTML5, keep a designer tool in the stack. If they run on Meta and Google, compare Vibiz vs Creatopy and look at the AI ad generator.
