Few people leave Publer over price. As of October 2026 it charges $5 per social account a month on Professional ($4 billed yearly) and $10 on Business ($8 yearly), gives every tenth account free, and keeps a free plan for three accounts. For a creator or a real estate agent posting to a handful of profiles, that is about as low as scheduling gets.
The reasons are usually elsewhere. Agencies outgrow it when clients expect branded reports, approval links and a review inbox, and per-account billing gets messy across dozens of client profiles. Others find the tool works perfectly and the queue is still empty, because the hard part was never pressing schedule. And some want the post that did well to become an ad, which Publer does not describe doing.
You need a simpler Publer. Buffer covers the same ground with fewer knobs: a free plan for three channels, $6 per channel on Essentials, and an API from the free tier. You give up spintax recycling and some of Publer's automation, but onboarding a team is quicker.
You run an agency. SocialPilot charges by plan rather than by account: Essentials is $30 a month for seven accounts, and Premium at $100 ($85 billed yearly) adds client approvals, white-label reports and 25 accounts. Vista Social sits higher, from $99 a month, and adds DM automations, listening and review management. Both offer 14-day trials without a card.
You care about numbers. Metricool prices by brand: five brands for $25 a month, with a free plan for one. Its reports and Facebook and Google Ads reporting are the reason to pick it.
You plan Instagram visually. Later's grid preview and shoppable link in bio suit shops whose feed is the storefront.
You need the content, not another queue. Vibiz reads your site, proposes a month of posts with designed visuals and a caption per channel, and publishes them to 11 networks after you approve each one. The same visuals can run as Meta or Google campaigns, pointing to a landing page with checkout that Vibiz builds too. It costs $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly, with no free plan, so it only makes sense if it replaces a designer, an ads tool or a page builder as well.
Publer is cheap enough to keep running while you try something. Pick one account and two weeks. For a scheduler, time how long it takes to load a week of posts and whether its reports answer the question your boss or client asks. For Vibiz, count how many proposed posts you would publish without editing, and if you run ads, check the fee on your daily budget before launch.
