Smartly is one of the most complete ad platforms on the market, and it is priced and sold accordingly. There is no public price list: when we checked in October 2026, its /pricing address showed a 404 page, and every call to action led to a demo request that begins with a 15 to 30 minute discovery call. The customers it names are Spotify, Uber, Samsung and Foot Locker, and the product covers social, search, connected TV and programmatic from one system.
That is the right shape for a global brand. It is the wrong shape for a shop, a clinic or a five-person SaaS company whose paid budget sits on Meta and Google. Those teams usually want three things Smartly does not offer them: a price they can see, a tool they can set up themselves, and help with the creative, not only with distributing it.
Automation for existing creatives. Birch and Madgicx are the closest in spirit to Smartly's media side. Birch runs condition-based rules across Meta, Google, Snapchat and TikTok and prices by ad spend, with every feature on every tier. Madgicx goes deeper on Meta, with AI agents for ad rotation, fatigue and creative refresh, and also prices by spend. AdEspresso is the simplest of the three: Facebook and Instagram split testing from $49 a month, with a $1,000 spend cap on Starter.
Creative at volume. AdCreative.ai and Pencil replace the creative-production side. AdCreative.ai scores creatives before launch but does not run campaigns. Pencil both generates and launches, on seven networks including Google Display, DV360 and LinkedIn, from $14 a month.
One workspace for a small team. Vibiz covers creative and launch together for Meta and Google, then adds the parts an ad platform leaves out: a landing page with checkout and scheduled organic posts. You paste your website, review the creatives, and approve the campaign with the service fee shown up front, for example $10 a day on a $50 daily budget. Pro is $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly. It will not run CTV or programmatic, and it has no free plan or trial.
Start with your channel list. If you need TikTok, Snapchat or DV360 as paid channels, Birch or Pencil keep that reach. If you only buy on Meta and Google, the choice is between better optimisation (Madgicx, Birch) and less work end to end (Vibiz). Then check the pricing model against your spend: tools priced by ad spend grow more expensive as you scale, while flat plans charge the same however much you spend, with Vibiz adding its fee on budget. Finally, test with live money for two weeks on one product before moving the whole account.
