Formats split the field
Creatify, HeyOz and MakeUGC are built around AI actors and UGC-style video, AdCreative.ai around static and display, Canva Grow around static and short social video, Higgsfield and invideo around general models.
Choose an AI ad generator on six points: the formats you run (static, video, UGC-style), whether it builds a brand kit from your site, whether it launches to your ad platforms or only exports files, how much you can edit after generation, how the pricing model counts (credits per download, per generation, seats or a fee on ad spend) and who owns the output, including on free tiers. Run one real product through the free tier before paying and judge the result on your own packaging.
| Question | Why it matters | What to look for | On the vendors' pages |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Which formats do you run? | A tool strong in one format burns credits on the other | A tool built around the placements you buy | AdCreative.ai: static and display, with video on higher tiers |
| 2. Does it build a brand kit? | Generic output is the most common complaint | Reads logo, colors, fonts and tone from your site or assets; no prompting it in each time | AdCreative.ai's own guide lists ignoring brand consistency as a top mistake |
| 3. Does it launch, or only export? | Export-only tools hand you a file to upload yourself | A connection to the ad accounts you buy on | Canva Grow, Creatify, Zeely and AdCreative.ai each connect a short list of platforms |
| 4. How much can you edit? | Most ads need a headline change or a claim fix; with no editing, each is another credit | Inline editing, regenerating one element, export to a real editor | Canva Grow exports layers into the Canva editor |
| 5. How does the pricing model count? | Price the plan at usable ads after retakes, plus the spend fee at your daily budget | Per download, per generation, per seat or a fee on ad spend | HeyOz: 2 credits per image, 10 per video |
| 6. Who owns the output? | Free exports can carry a watermark or exclude commercial use | The rights line, especially on free tiers | Creatify: you own your creatives even after the plan ends; free exports are watermarked |

Canva Grow: Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn, up to 50 ads per submission, existing accounts only. Creatify: Meta, TikTok, AppLovin. Zeely: Facebook, Instagram. AdCreative.ai: Meta, Google, LinkedIn, Pinterest.
Per download: AdCreative.ai. Per generation by model and resolution: Higgsfield, invideo, Creatify, HeyOz. Per seat: invideo, Higgsfield. Fee on spend: Zeely notes up to 12 percent; launch tools generally take a cut.
Higgsfield's free plan excludes commercial use. MakeUGC lists watermark removal and commercial usage rights as paid-plan features. Meta and TikTok label or require disclosure of significantly AI-made ad media.
The tools overlap on the demo and differ on the details that cost you money three months in. The table sets out six questions with what the vendors' own pages said on October 13, 2026. Higgsfield and invideo also put ad templates on top of their general image and video models. On the platform side, Meta and TikTok label or require disclosure of significantly AI-generated ad media, so a tool that keeps provenance metadata is doing you a favor, not flagging you.
