48 video hooks templates for this selection. Copy them freely; edit the specifics so every claim is true for your business.

Pick up to 10 hooks, and Vibiz turns them into short video ads for your business.

How the generator works

A hook is the first line of an ad: the words someone reads or hears before deciding to keep watching. On Reels and TikTok that decision takes about a second, so most of an ad's result is decided by the first sentence.

This generator does not invent hooks. It fills prepared templates. Each of the 12 frameworks below is a pattern that keeps showing up in ads that hold attention, and each has hooks, headlines and primary text written for it. You pick your industry, which brings in that industry's vocabulary (who the customer is, what they are tired of, what they want), and you can add your own offer and city. "Generate more" walks through the templates in a shuffled order and does not repeat one until you have seen them all.

FrameworkWhat it doesExample opening
Problem, agitateNames the pain, then sharpens it"Tired of paying for a membership you never use?"
Curiosity gapPromises one thing the viewer doesn't know yet"Nobody tells first-time buyers this before their home search."
Social proofLeads with people like the viewer"Why hungry locals keep coming back to us."
Before and afterShows the change, not the product"Before: a stain spreading across the ceiling. After: a dry house."
POVPuts the viewer inside the moment"POV: you finally stopped waiting until a tooth hurts."
Objection flipSays the doubt out loud, then answers it"Think a new roof costs a fortune? Here's the truth."
Number listA short, countable promise"3 signs you need a service call this week."
UrgencyA real reason to act now"A free first exam, only this month."
Direct questionThe question they already ask themselves"When did you last get a checkup with no lecture?"
ContrarianDisagrees with common advice"Stop adding another tool instead of replacing three."
The costly mistakeWarns about one specific mistake"I see this mistake every week: choosing a clinic on price alone."
Us vs. the usualPuts the usual experience next to yours"Most places: waiting all day for a technician. Us: a fix on the first visit."

A worked example

A dental practice in Denver wants more new patients and offers a free first exam. They choose Dentists, type the offer "a free first exam" and the city "Denver", and filter to the Objection flip framework. The generator returns lines such as:

  • "The dentist always hurts." Let's talk about that.
  • We hear "the dentist always hurts" every week. Here's our answer.

They pick two hooks, film one 20-second video of the dentist answering the fear directly, and cut two versions that differ only in the first line. That is a clean hook test: same video, same audience, same budget, two openings. After a few days the one with the higher hold rate and lower cost per lead wins, and the loser gets replaced by the next hook from the list.

How to use the output

  • Test hooks, not whole ads. Change the first line and keep the rest. You learn faster and spend less.
  • Match the hook to the image. A before-and-after hook needs a before-and-after visual. Check the pairing in the Facebook ad mockup generator and score the image with the ad creative grader.
  • Watch cost per result, not just clicks. A curiosity hook can win clicks and lose sales. Compare variants with the CPA calculator.
  • Keep it true. Replace any specific you cannot stand behind. Special ad categories (housing, credit, employment) and health claims have stricter rules on Meta.

When you have picked up to ten hooks, "Turn these hooks into video ads" takes them into Vibiz as the brief for short video ads made for your brand. To see what finished hook-led ads look like, browse the UGC ad examples or start with AI UGC ads.

Limits

Templates are a starting point, not a voice. They do not know your customers' exact words, which are always the best source of hooks: read your reviews and sales calls and steal their phrases. The industry vocabulary is broad on purpose, so a niche business (a vegan bakery, a commercial roofer) should edit the audience and pain to fit. And no hook rescues a weak offer; if every variant underperforms, change what you are selling or who you are showing it to.

Frequently asked questions

No model writes on this page. Every line comes from templates a person wrote and reviewed, organized by framework, then filled with your industry, offer and city. That keeps the output fast, free, unlimited and free of made-up claims.
