Prices as of October 2026, per person per month; Descript says annual billing saves up to 35%. Vibiz yearly billing is 20% off, and ads add a service fee on ad budget: 20% of the first $100 a day, 5% of the part up to $1,000 and 1% above that.

Footage first, or website first

Descript's idea is simple and still unusual: record or drop in a video, get an instant transcript, and edit the video by editing the words. Delete a sentence and the footage goes with it. Around that it has built Studio Sound for noisy rooms, filler word and retake removal, eye contact correction, automatic multicam, Create Clips for social cuts, and Underlord, an AI co-editor you instruct in plain language. It also generates B-roll, voices and images with your choice of models, and lists an API and MCP access. Descript says more than 6 million creators and teams use it.

Vibiz assumes you have no footage at all. You paste a URL; it pulls the brand, products and the language your customers use, writes hooks and produces UGC-style videos and static ads with your actual product composited in. It then launches the ad on Meta or Google, builds the page it lands on and fills the social calendar.

Where Descript is stronger

Anything you actually recorded. Podcasts, webinars, customer interviews, product walkthroughs, a founder talking to camera: Descript turns these into finished videos faster than a timeline editor and far better than a generator. Vibiz is not built for long recordings.

Sound. Studio Sound and filler word removal fix the most common reason home-made video sounds amateur. There is no equivalent in Vibiz.

Price and a free plan. As of October 2026 Hobbyist is $16 a month billed annually and Creator, the most popular plan, $24. Both are well below Vibiz Pro at $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly, and Descript's free plan needs no card.

Enterprise controls. SOC 2 Type II, SAML SSO and SCIM, and Brand Studio templates make Descript easier to roll out across a large company.

Where Vibiz is stronger

No camera, no editing. Pick one of 11 creator presets, or upload a clip of a person you have rights to and keep them while the script changes. Captions are burned in, in your brand style, with 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 cuts.

The campaign itself. The agent assembles audiences, budget, placements and copy for up to three segments, and nothing runs until you approve the budget and fee together. On a $75 daily budget the fee is $15 a day on a $75 daily budget. Results are read back every day so losing ads get paused. More on Meta and Google ads.

Static ads, pages and posts. Descript does not make image ads, landing pages or a posting calendar. Vibiz does all three, posting organically to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest, Reddit, Bluesky and Telegram.

Pricing in practice

Descript meters two things per editor: media hours (how much recorded or imported video it processes) and AI credits (generations and AI tools). Hobbyist includes 10 hours and 400 credits, Creator 30 hours and 800, Business 40 hours and 1,500, with top-ups from Creator up. Monthly billing costs more: $24, $35 and $65. Vibiz counts generations and posts instead, and it carries the ad fee only if you run ads.

A quick way to decide

Ask what you already have. A library of recordings, or a person happy to talk to camera every week, points to Descript. A product, a website and no time points to Vibiz. For more editors and clip tools, see the Descript alternatives, or compare Vibiz vs OpusClip.
