Foreplay and Vibiz sit at opposite ends of one process. Foreplay is where a creative strategist collects inspiration, studies what competitors are running and writes the brief. Vibiz is where an ad gets made and launched. A team with editors and a media buyer may only need the first. A founder doing everything alone usually needs the second.
Foreplay calls itself the complete winning ad workflow. Its pieces are Swipe File (save ads from anywhere, with transcription), Discovery (a searchable ad database the site puts at 100M+ ads, though a live counter on the same page showed about 55 million), Spyder (round-the-clock competitor tracking with hook analysis), Lens (creative analytics for your own accounts) and Briefs (storyboards and scripts). The free Chrome extension saves ads from the Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn ad libraries. It says more than 10,000 social ad teams and agencies use it, and its homepage shows a 4.8 rating on G2 from 128 reviews.
Research depth. If your job is to know what every competitor launched this week, which hooks they keep and which ads they kill, Spyder is built for that. Vibiz has no competitor tracker.
A team's shared memory. Swipe File boards, sharing and transcripts give a creative team one place to keep references instead of screenshots in group chats.
Briefing humans. Foreplay's brief builder produces storyboards and scripts that an editor or designer can work from. If you have that team, it raises the quality of what they make.
Data access. Workflow and Agency plans list an API and MCP so you can pull ad data into Claude, ChatGPT or your own tools.
The ad actually exists at the end. Vibiz reads your site, extracts the brand kit, writes hooks and renders static ads, carousels and UGC-style videos with your real product. Foreplay ends at a brief.
References become your ads. Upload a competitor-style reference, or pick a format from the Discover library, and the Recreate flow keeps the layout while writing your own headline, offer and copy.
Launch and landing. Vibiz builds the Meta campaign, runs Google Search and Display, and generates the landing page with checkout. Organic posts go out to 11 networks, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and Threads.
Foreplay Basic is $59 a month billed monthly, or $49 a month on the annual toggle, for one user with Swipe File, Discovery and Briefs. Spyder and Lens start on Workflow at $175 a month ($149 annual) for five users. Agency is $459 a month ($389 annual). Every tier adds $20 a month per extra user. The trial runs 7 days and needs a card, with a 14-day money-back window after the first charge and no pro-rated refunds on annual plans.
Vibiz Pro is $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly, and launched ads carry a service fee on ad budget, for example $8 a day on a $40 daily budget. Details on pricing.
Ask who turns the brief into an ad. If you employ that person, Foreplay makes them better informed. If that person is you, and you have an evening, Vibiz takes you from website to running campaign. For research tools alongside analytics, see Vibiz vs Motion and the Foreplay alternatives.
