Synthesia and Vibiz both put an AI person on screen, but they are built for different jobs. Synthesia calls itself an AI video platform for business, and its homepage stories are almost all training, compliance, onboarding and sales enablement: "180 videos, 5 languages", "updating 10,000 courses". It says it is trusted by 90% of the Fortune 100 and has over 2,000,000 users. You paste a document, a deck or a link, pick an avatar, and get a presenter-led video you can share by link, embed on a site or export to an LMS.
Vibiz starts from your website and ends with an ad that is running. It extracts your brand, writes hooks, puts one of 11 creator presets (or your own face) on camera with your real product, captions the video in your brand style, and then launches it as a Meta or Google campaign. The same workspace makes static ads, landing pages with checkout and organic posts.
Training and explainer video. If the viewer is an employee or a customer learning something, Synthesia is the better tool. It has 125+ stock avatars on Starter and 180+ on Pro, personal avatars (your digital twin), multi-avatar scenes, screen recording and templates for courses.
Languages. Synthesia lists 140+ languages and voices, one-click translation, glossary controls for names and terms, and a multilingual player. Vibiz captions in the language of your site and does not try to dub one video into dozens of languages.
Enterprise plumbing. SAML/SSO, SCORM export, brand kits, roles, approvals and a dedicated CSM sit on the Enterprise plan. Vibiz's own pages do not describe SSO or LMS export.
A free way in. The Basic plan costs $0 and includes 10 minutes of video a month, with a watermark. Vibiz has no free plan or trial.
The ad, not just the video. Synthesia publishes by link, embed or SCORM; it does not launch campaigns. Vibiz builds the Meta campaign around your videos (audiences, budget, placements, copy) and runs Google Search and Display from the same place, with the service fee shown before you approve.
Formats an ad account needs. Every Vibiz video comes in 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 with captions and music, and the product in frame is your real packshot rather than a generated one.
Everything around the ad. Static creatives, a landing page with checkout and scheduled posts to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and X are in the same plan. See how the UGC ads flow works.
Synthesia Starter is $19 a month billed monthly or $14 billed yearly, with 1,250 credits a month on top of the free allowance (its page estimates up to about 12 extra minutes). Pro is $89 a month billed monthly or $59 billed yearly, with 6,000 credits and up to about 60 extra minutes. Enterprise is custom. Credits are shared across video, dubbing and other AI features, so heavy B-roll or avatar actions use them faster.
Vibiz Pro is $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly, with 250 generations and 50 posts. Ads add a service fee on ad budget, for example $6 a day on a $30 daily budget. Compare plans on the pricing page.
Write down where the finished video goes. If it goes into an LMS, an intranet or a help centre, start with Synthesia's free plan. If it goes into a Meta or Google ad account and needs a landing page behind it, Vibiz covers more of the job. For other avatar tools, see the Synthesia alternatives or Vibiz vs HeyGen.
