Metricool is good value. As of October 2026 its free plan covers one brand with 20 posts a month, and in US dollars Starter costs $25 a month for five brands ($20 billed yearly) or $45 for ten. Advanced starts at $67 a month for fifteen brands ($53 yearly) and reaches $210 for fifty. Prices exclude VAT. For that you get scheduling, analytics with unlimited history, competitor tracking, client reports, an inbox, link-in-bio pages and guided Google and Facebook campaign creation.
So the reasons to leave are rarely about price. Some people find the dashboard crowded and want a plain queue. Some companies need social listening and governance Metricool does not sell. And many owners discover that the tool assumes the content already exists: it schedules posts and builds campaigns, but someone still has to design the posts, make the ad creative and build the page the ad links to.
Simpler. Buffer is the calmest interface in this category. Its free plan connects three channels, including LinkedIn and X, which Metricool's free plan excludes. Paid plans are $6 per channel a month, which is cheap for one brand and dear for twenty.
Bigger. Hootsuite adds listening, trend forecasting, routed inboxes and SSO. It costs $99 per user a month billed annually on Standard, so it only makes sense if those features are requirements.
More visual. Later suits brands whose Instagram grid sells, with a shoppable link-in-bio page and influencer tools, from $18.75 a month billed yearly.
More writing help. SocialBee includes unlimited AI content generation from $24 a month billed yearly and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.
The content and creatives made. Predis.ai generates posts, videos and ad creatives on credits from $19 a month billed yearly, but leaves the campaign to you. Vibiz covers the whole chain. It extracts your brand from your URL and produces ad creatives, product photography and UGC-style video. Its organic side writes and designs posts for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and X. It then builds a landing page with checkout and launches Meta and Google campaigns with the service fee shown before you approve. Pro is $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly for up to five brands; there is no free plan.
You do not have to replace Metricool outright. Its reports are often the reason agencies stay. A common setup is to keep it for client reporting and use a production tool for the creative. Check that whichever production tool you add publishes to the accounts you report on, so the numbers stay in one place.
Give each shortlisted tool the same brief: one product, one offer, one week. Note how many posts you had to make yourself, whether an ad went live and where its click landed, and how long the client report took to produce. The tool that removes the most manual work for your actual week is the right one.
