Planoly is hard to beat at what it does. As of October 2026 Starter is $14 a month billed annually, the grid planner is still the reason many creators sign up, and the link-in-bio store sells downloads and bookings without transaction fees. Most people who leave are not unhappy with it. They have grown in a direction it was not built for.
Four directions come up again and again. You want more than the eight networks a social set covers. You want analytics that go beyond post performance. Someone else now has to approve your posts. Or the real bottleneck is that you are tired of making every photo and video yourself and want ads running too.
More channels for less. Buffer is the obvious move if scheduling is all you need. Its free plan handles three channels, and paid plans charge per channel with unlimited scheduled posts. You lose the grid preview and the bio store, so keep Planoly's free tier if those matter.
Better numbers. Metricool gives competitor tracking, longer history and client reports, and it can walk you through creating Google and Meta campaigns. It charges per brand, which suits a creator who has started managing a few clients.
Evergreen posting. SocialBee sorts posts into categories and keeps recycling them, which is useful if you have a back catalogue of tips or product shots. It costs about twice Planoly's entry plan.
Approvals and a shared inbox. Loomly adds approval workflows from its first plan; Agorapulse adds a full moderation inbox and keeps a free plan. Both are big steps up in price from Planoly.
Someone to make it. Vibiz is the only option here that produces the posts. It reads your website, builds a brand kit and drafts a month of on-brand posts for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest, Reddit, Bluesky and Telegram. It also runs Meta and Google campaigns and builds checkout pages. Pro is $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly. It has no free plan, no grid preview and charges a service fee on ad budget, so it is overkill for a creator who loves shooting their own content.
Export your link-in-bio links and any product listings first; they do not transfer. Then pick one month of planned posts and put it through your top two choices. For a direct comparison, read Vibiz vs Planoly or Vibiz vs Buffer.
