Buffer is a scheduler first. You connect channels, write or upload a post, and it goes into a queue or onto a visual calendar. Its homepage lists Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, Google Business, Mastodon, X and Substack, which is broader coverage than most tools in this category. Around that sit an ideas board, an AI Assistant for drafting and repurposing text, a community inbox for comments, analytics, a link-in-bio Start Page, a browser extension and a public API. The homepage counts roughly 296,000 creators, brands and agencies using it.
Vibiz is not mainly a scheduler. It is a marketing workspace that makes the material: you paste your URL, it extracts the brand, and it produces ad creatives, product shots, UGC-style video, landing pages with checkout and a month of social posts. The posts go out on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and X from one calendar after you approve each one. Paid campaigns run on Meta and Google from the same workspace.
If you already have a content routine and just need it published on time, you are comparing a $6 tool with a much broader product. If the hard part is having anything worth posting, the comparison changes.
Price. As of October 2026 Buffer's free plan covers three channels with ten queued posts per channel, refilled as they publish. Essentials is $6 per channel a month, or $5 billed yearly, with unlimited scheduled posts; Team is $12 per channel, or $10 yearly, with unlimited users and approval workflows. A business on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn pays $18 a month on Essentials. Vibiz Pro is $79 a month, or $63 a month billed yearly.
Coverage. Twelve networks, including Mastodon and Substack, which are not among the channels Vibiz posts to.
Simplicity. Buffer does one job and the interface reflects that. There is no brand extraction step or agent to learn.
A real free tier and an API. Even the free plan includes API access with 3,000 requests a month, which suits developers wiring posting into their own tools.
It fills the calendar. Buffer's AI Assistant helps with words. Vibiz proposes the month, writes a caption per channel and designs the visual from your brand kit, reusing the same product shots and video cuts as your ads. See how Vibiz makes social posts.
Paid reach. Buffer does not describe running ads. Vibiz launches Meta and Google campaigns and shows the service fee on ad budget before you approve, so a post that performs can become an ad without a new design.
Pages that sell. Buffer's Start Page is a link-in-bio list. Vibiz builds full landing pages and funnels with Stripe checkout.
Fewer tools to join up. With Buffer you still need a design tool, an ads manager and a site builder. Vibiz puts those in one workspace with an inline agent, and an MCP server if you work from Claude.
Count the hours you spend making posts, not scheduling them. If that number is small, Buffer at a few dollars a channel is the sensible buy, and its free plan lets you start today. If most of your week goes into designing and writing, or you also want the ads and the landing page handled, Vibiz shows your brand kit and a starter creative pack before you subscribe.
